His paintings are stark and clutch at your throat, and they depict emotions that are laid completely bare. Few colours, uncomplicated but incredibly powerful shapes and an overall impact that can stagger you. From his 'Kali' that was the first Indian painting to break the Rs. 1 crore barrier to 'Mahisasura', his paintings have a primal power that cannot be matched by any other painter.
Just 'image search' Tyeb Mehta on Google, and you will understand what I mean, by the unimaginably powerful yet simple yet complex work that he created. India has lost one her greatest painters.

In Torrington Conn., the sex screams of a woman were misinterpreted as screams of a woman being assaulted, and her lover was beaten up by a group of teenagers.
The 34 year old woman who was screaming while having sex, was heard by a 16 year old girl living in the same building, who then got together several other teens and beat up the 25 year old man who was with the woman.

Shrinking sheep due to global warming
Title: Shrinking sheep due to global warming
Size: 12" X 8"
Date of creation: 2009 July
The rise in temperatures is making sheep smaller. The reason was uncovered by a team of researchers led by Tim Coulson of Imperial College London. They found that on average, wild Soay sheep on Scotland's island Hirta are 5 percent smaller today than they were in 1985.
The reason - since it was getting warmer, the larger body size to be able to survive harsh winters was no longer necessary. As a result the smaller sheep were also surviving, which made the overall size of the sheep population smaller. This slowly led to reduction of the size of sheep over the last 25-30 years.
I don't want to even begin to imagine what else could happen due to global warming... lets hope that mankind shows enough wisdom to survive climate change!

"If Katherine Jackson fails to survive me, or is unable or unwilling to act as guardian, I nominate Diana Ross as guardian..."
