A Hillsboro Missouri County jail is offering the public bed and breakfast in jail on July 31 at US$50 per night per person and US$90 per night per couple.

The jail authorities are trying to generate funds for mattresses for a new jail addition. People who want to spend the night in jail, will get bed and breakfast, a tour, a t-shirt, a souvenir and a 'Get out of jail free' card.

Interestingly if anyone wants to get out early, they will have to pay US$10 extra. A truly novel way for a jail to accumulate funds!
