Mayawati, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh (a state in India) spent a 1000 crores to install her own stautes in various parts of the state. So... what will the people of the state get by watching her statues, food, shelter, education... what?
This is the question being raised by an increasing number of people including P. Chidmabaran and now the Supreme Court has issued a show cause notice to Mayawati for spending money meant for the state's development in installing statues of herself.
This is such a blatant waste and misuse of Government Funds meant to alleviate the state of the masses, that it really appals me. In four weeks time the Mayawati led Governement will have to give an answer to the Supreme Court, let us see what happens!
