Ashok Vichare was handed over his shining lunar silver Tata Nano by Mr. Ratan Tata himself at the factory gates. Ashish Balakrishnan was also handed over his Nano by Ratan Tata, as was a third car to Kores India.

This marks the beginning of the Tata Nano on the roads of India. The 'people's car' or the 'one lakh' car has finally arrived.
