They have been living in Germany since 1990 when their father Mihir Mandal got a job in Lufthansa in Germany, and today they are on the verge of winning 'Germany's next Showstar', a talent hunt in Germany's Pro Sieben TV channel with participants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The two sisters chose 'Indian Rhythms' as their theme and performed entrancing dance numbers wearing traditional Indian costumes and choosing songs that reflect India's diverse culture, rather than disco or Indi pop numbers. There were a total of 585 groups in competition during the preliminary stage of the talent hunt show which began on May 4th.
Let the NRI sisters Debarati and Nabaneeta go for the top spot in the Germany reality show. Bravo!
