Mt Redoubt cools down, Alaskan volcano threat lowered

Title: Mt Redoubt volcano cools down, Alaskan volcano threat level lowered by scientists!
Size: 12" X 8"
Date of creation: 2009 July

The volcano near Anchorage in Alsaka erupted in March, and then again in April, and has since been in a near eruption state. However latest studies show that its eruptions for now have ceased, and the danger levels are significantly reduced. In the March eruption, it sent dust clouds nine miles into the atmosphere and sent volcanic ash and dust into Anchorage, the Kenai Peninsula and Governor Sarah Palin's hometown of Wasilla. The volcanic ash can injure skin, eyes and breathing passages and can scratch windshield glass if the wipers
are turned on.
