30 years back it created a sensation, and made Sony the global giant it is today. Today from the iPod to digital music files, the Walkman is almost dead. Just to give you an idea of the numbers, Sony sold 385 million Walkman machines worldwide in 30 years while Apple has sold more than 210 million iPod machines worldwide in just eight years.

Today Sony is running in losses, and it needs another awesome music product to come back on line. The Walkman was their biggest break-through, they need another one now. Long live the Walkman, something I grew up with...
